Social, technological, and demographic trends are not only changing the conditions of work, but also the demands being placed on employees. The aim of our research is to describe these new demands on employees and to analyse their disadvantageous but also advantageous effects on employees. In doing so, it is important for us to better understand the underlying stress, motivation, and learning processes on the one hand, and to identify conditions that help employees to cope better with new demands on them on the other hand. For example, we address the following questions: "How does teleworking affect the well-being of employees", "What demands and resources are associated with flexible working". Our research enables us to provide companies with methods and tools to optimally design work and organisations and promote the well-being of employees as well as organisational effectiveness.
