The EMERDEC project examines the fundamentals and mechanisms of decision-making by leaders in emergency response organizations. The project aims to lay the groundwork for the development of decision support systems.
EMERDEC is an interdisciplinary and collaborative research project involving the Work and Organizational Psychology workgroup and the Cognitive Science Section at the University of Graz, Joanneum Research, the Disaster Competence Network Austria (DCNA), Furtwangen University, the Carinthian Fire Department Association and the Vienna Fire Department.
